Petrarchan (theme: love)

Your place in my life

My life is brilliant my life is pure

Until you came along and gave your smile

You know how my heart was always fragile

I knew for an instant you were my cure

Without you I’ll always feel insecure

I tried to talk to you in different styles

I would run to you even for a mile

I wouldn’t let you go and that I’m sure

I would wait for you till the end of time

Even if seasons change, I will remain

I would describe you in only one word

Out of everyone here, you're the divine

I never need to see the sun again

Only because your eyes light up my world

Love like oxygen

You may not realize but you’re my drug

When I saw your face in a crowded place

My heart beat as loud as a bass

When I see you strain away my hug

But instead I reach out for you and tug

Saying ‘I love you’ is just a phrase

Being together is another case

Everything would be solved with just a snug

When we’re sending letters across the class

There’s no better way to communicate

But its time that we face the truth

We shouldn’t let any of these times pass

This is the moment I appreciate

Reminiscing all these days of our youth

Love is expressed in different ways. Some people are very hurt because they’ve fallen in love with the wrong person that they don't want to feel that again. Even if you put a band-aid on it, there will always be a scratch mark over it. Your first loves are the one who will probably stay in your heart forever, because they are the first one who made you feel safe and cared for. You can destroy evidences but you can never destroy your memories.

Masquerade

I hide in various layers of mask

Even so, why’d you use me as a tool?

Do you care for me? I would never ask

I may look frail but I am not a fool

No one understands me, not even you

You might think I’m bullet proof but I’m not

You were as sweet as the last drop of dew

When it was you I thought I had a shot

I needed some directions to your heart

When you stole my heart from across the room

I couldn’t stand it when we were apart

It was like a flower that never bloomed

I’m fighting the urge to make you happy

But my heart will forever be scrappy

There we were, standing right under the cove

Starring at the stars in the sky that lit

I didn't know that I would fall in love

But now I know I cant live without it

The feeling whenever you smile at me

I could reach and hold the stars in my hands

I could swim until the depth of the sea

For you, I would count every bit of sand

Cause when I’m with him I’m thinking of you

Every conversation ends with a fight

That's how it destroys a couple of two

Freestyle poem (theme: love)

Love at first sight

Your legs must have been tired

Because you have been running through my mind all night

I couldn’t stop thinking of you

If you don't believe in love at first sight

I should try to walk pass you one more time

  Unconditional love

The love that we shared

Cannot be compared

Although I was not prepared

I was aware

That my heart could never be repaired

The theme for my freestyle poems is about love. Love is everywhere, there are people in love, people trying to find love, people desperate for love. Some people believe in love at first sight but honestly, I think that love will come when your relationship builds up slowly. Sometimes it takes a very long time to get over a person. No one is prepared whenever they loose someone they really care about.

Fragrance like the morning air

Look how it is taken with care

Oh, how it withers I can’t bear

Watching it tear its not fair

Every flower shows a flare

Refreshing colors that made us merry

Slowly as it falls, I turn into despair

Shining rays at the end of the evening

Leaving the moon to be one

Its darkness finally enclosing the light until there was none

Glowing of the moon as its time for its run

Hearing the animals of the day to be stunned

The glorious night has finally begun

 My theme for all the acrostic poems are about nature. One thing I love about life is nature. I like looking under the stars, enjoying the breeze and just relaxing. Nature is so beautiful that it makes it easier to describe it. It’s amazing how nature just comes by itself. Especially the sunset. I will never get tired of looking at the sun setting. Without any interference from our human activities like deforestation, our world will always be beautiful.

Haiku (theme: life)

Chasing dreams

Reaching for you dreams

Is like reaching for the stars

So close yet so far

Start of a new life

A new miracle

Smiles from the newborn baby

A journey to life

Short moment of happiness

A moment in time

You make my frown turn around

With a simple click

 Disappointments

I yearn for many

Wishing upon falling stars

But they never come

 Hope

When the world was grey

You came along with your smile

A glimmer of hope

Let me be the light

Gazing at the stars

Guiding me to where I go

As I walk this road

For my haiku, I picked the theme about life, because with short poems, it can change your point of view in life. Most of my haiku’s are about encouraging yourself that there’s a lot of hope and choosing the right path in life. Few of my poems are about smiles. I think that smiles are one of the best features about a person. That's why smiles brighten up your day when you are in a bad mood.
